The shop

Started in a garage in 2020.

I'm Sean Finnerty. I learned woodworking in my dad's garage during the 2020 lockdowns. He had the tools. I had the time.

I started selling boards at pop-ups and farmers markets under the name Sean Finn Woodworks. In 2026 I rebranded to Doug & Co. — a nickname my cousin gave me growing up.

At one of those pop-ups I raffled a board and donated the proceeds to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. I do it every year.

The wood

Where the wood comes from.

All hardwood is sourced from an Amish family mill in Pennsylvania's Amish Country.

No big box stores. No imported lumber. Every board supports two family operations — mine and theirs.
